The SsoTEP event time line shows near real time predictions of transient
events of solar system objects that we recommend to observe. That relates to mutual events and stellar occultations
of binary asteroids for which we need support and further observations in the framework of our research.
Please
contact us if you are interested with this project
and if you plan to observe the events.
The time line is composed of three independently scrollable bars: the upper in days, the middle
in months and lower in years. They can be panned by clicking and dragging to navigate along the
time line. The currently visible view in the upper scrollable area is represented by a light grey
box on the two lower area. Each SsoTEP event is represented by a marker, labelled with the event
name (SsoTEP-<timestamp>). The width of the markers is proportional to the time length of the
event. Clicking on the marker (or the label) will bring up additional data and links for that event.
The Timeline Interface is an HTML-based AJAX widget
for visualizing time-based events and is copyright the SIMILE project
Tips: If you want to include such a timeline in your own Web page,
just implement the timeline as described in Simile
Timeline tutorial and get the events by adding the following lines at the end of the onLoad() function:
eURL = "http://vo.imcce.fr/webservices/ssotep/getEvents.php?timeline";
Timeline.loadXML(eURL, function(xml,url) { eventSource.loadXML(xml,url); });
